I understand how difficult opening up can be, and I know that finding the right person to talk with is crucial. The growth I’ve had from sharing my struggles with a counselor is one of the reasons I chose to make counseling my life’s work, and I know that the best way to heal and grow is by receiving the help you need from a professional you can trust.

I believe that everyone can reach an optimal level of hope and healing. I view counseling as a collaborative journey to help clients recognize their strengths and abilities, to discover new options, set personal goals and to make informed choices. I incorporate cognitive methods of exploring one’s thoughts and beliefs, and Narrative Therapy by utilizing metaphors and exploring clients’ stories of resilience, in the midst of adversities.

Life is full of challenges as unique as we are and at times, we all could benefit from having someone in our corner. I love working with clients who want things to be different and are willing to do different things! If you are 14 or older and experiencing depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, or autism spectrum disorder you are likely very familiar with just how challenging life can be. I operate from a strengths-based perspective and integrate Attachment Theory and Internal Family Systems into my work as well as drawing from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy’s many techniques. I am a highly adaptable clinician and believe that since everyone is unique that there is no one-size fits all approach. Therapy can feel very vulnerable, so I make it a priority to establish a rapport with my clients and create an environment where you feel safe, including providing reasonable accommodations such as (but not limited to) no overhead lighting, fidgets, and time to process between questions. The therapeutic relationship is the cornerstone of therapy and I believe we can all thrive when we feel safe and supported. A little about me: I received my BA in Social and Behavioral Studies from George Fox University in 2018 and my MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from George Fox University in 2023. I completed my clinical internship at Polk County Behavioral Health where I worked with children, families, and adults. Prior to this, I have worked consistently in human and social services both in the State and non-profits sectors providing support and advocacy to vulnerable persons.
